The 757 Music & Arts Collective is a community-driven organization currently in its development phase. We are working toward formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to ensure that the underground music and arts scene in Norfolk has a permanent, independent foundation.
We aren't just throwing a festival; we are building a war chest. VODFest 2026 is the primary fundraising vehicle to move the collective from a digital network into a physical reality.
Our primary objectives for the 757 are:
SECURE_PHYSICAL_SPACE: Acquiring a dedicated hub in Norfolk to host all-genre underground creators.
STUDIO_INFRASTRUCTURE: Building an accessible recording and broadcast booth for independent artists.
MAKER_HARDWARE: Providing shared tools for merchandise production, instrument repair, and technical education.
We are currently in Phase 01.
PHASE 01: NETWORK_ESTABLISHMENT (Current)
Organizing high-visibility events like VODFest to mobilize the culture and generate the initial seed funding for the nonprofit's filing and equipment.
PHASE 02: STRUCTURAL_FILING (Upcoming)
Finalizing the legal 501(c)(3) paperwork to establish the 757 Music & Arts Collective as a formal nonprofit entity.
PHASE 03: PHYSICAL_ACTIVATION (Target: 2027)
Opening the doors to our first shared studio and maker space for collective members.
The 757 has the talent, but we lack the shared infrastructure. By transitioning from a concert series into a formal nonprofit, we ensure that our resources remain community-owned and protected from corporate interests.
